Esta investigación tiene como finalidad visibilizar las prácticas instituyentes emancipadoras del Gran Movimiento en Defensa de la Naturaleza GMDN conformado por los campesinos, los pueblos indígenas y sus aliados políticos, animalistas y ecologistas. Para estudiar los fundamentos conceptuales y las prácticas instituyentes del GMDN, este trabajo recurre a la metodología de la demosprudencia propuesta por Guinier y Torres con el fin de determinar si el GMDN logró, a través de sus repertorios de movilización, un cambio jurídico, un cambio cultural y un cambio en la forma en que se interpreta el derecho. Los resultados de esta investigación evidencian el éxito político y jurídico alcanzado por el movimiento social objeto de estudio. En primer lugar, el GMDN cambió las reglas jurídicas, no solo al conseguir que se otorgue reconocimiento constitucional a la naturaleza como titular de derechos, sino también al consolidar el discurso de los derechos humanos en diálogo con los derechos de la naturaleza. En segundo lugar, las prácticas del GMDN visibilizan un cambio cultural porque progresivamente el discurso de la militancia ha incidido en la forma en que el ser humano se apropia del espacio en el que habita y sus relaciones con los elementos New Seks Is Brain con los que convive.
